Brownie Wise propelled Tupperware to skyrocketing success in the 1950s. In this living-history program, Wise as tells the story of her rise from a divorced mother selling cleaning supplies to Vice-President of Tupperware Home Parties. In 1951, Wise had about 200 women selling Tupperware; by 1954, her sales force topped 9,000. When Wise's fame started to eclipse that of Tupperware, she was forced out of the company and largely disappeared. But the Tupperware parties she pioneered remain the gold standard for home party selling.

I don't have any pictures to offer, but want to say what a fun afternoon this was.
    The boutique was delightful.
Not only was there Tupperware (of course) but there was some fun jewelry (at very good prices) and very cool vintage hats at super reasonable prices.
I got a gorgeous midnight blue velvet hat with a sparkly embellishment for $12!
My daughter bought a chic black and white polka dot little hat with a veil for I think $15. You can't beat that! I could have bought like 6 more...LOL
The tea was fabulous, and delish, and the girls never stopped pouring.

As for the performance, what energy and enthusiasm!
Also a bonus, there was no trouble to hear and understand what was being said, all without electronic amplification.
At the end there was a raffle and an auction of more delicious treats.
Just a delightful day, all to benefit a good cause.
As Arnold would say, "I'll be back".
"If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion and avoid the people, you might better stay home."
