When I get take-out, my order is hot & sour soup and Hunan chicken. My family's order puts us over the limit, so we get free egg-rolls. I've always liked their food.

Based on what I read, it seems the consensus is not authentic, but above average Americanized Chinese food.

I would definitely get the hot-and-sour soup (new to me there, a pleasant surprise) and the egg rolls (a reliable favorite) again. I haven't yet had a main course dish from HKCS that impressed me. I think I'll do a sampling of appetizers next time.

    Hi,

My friend Helen's husband is Chinese. She wants to go back because the crispy lo mein she ordered there was very good. She makes this at home, too, so she can be pretty critical.

The beef chow fun I ordered dry but it arrived really wet. It was too bad, because the rice noodles were pretty crisp before the sauce.

If I was in the neighborhood, I'd return. I wouldn't drive there from home as a destination.

    Regards,
