After the praise from several LTHers for Jennifer's soul food, especially the catfish and the grits, the Evanston Lunch Group would be remiss not to check out Jennifer's Edibles. Please join us for some Evanston soul food in the week before Christmas.

I don’t know how many folks you’re going to have attend, but you might want to call Jennifer ahead of time and even pre-order some things. We were a party of 5 and there was another party of 4 in there and that was pretty much at capacity for them. but the food is delicious, particularly those items we highlighted. Enjoy!!

Jennifer is expecting us, and I have ordered most of the menu for us to try. Bring your appetites!

Outstanding and very inexpensive lunch. I’m sure Dave ( um I mean Tom) will post Picts. To me the best was the jerk chicken. But the fried catfish, the oxtails and the greens were outstanding. The hibiscus and ginger tea was also excellent. Grits were a little boring until someone thought to put the jerk sauce on them.

I hope Jennifer is doing enough business to make it. She is a very gracious host.

My favorite was the peach cobbler. A definite winner.
