I just wanted to post the conclusion to my part of this story. PayPal just informed me that I was refunded (by Andres Forlines) the entire amount that I had paid for the second, non-dinner. Phew. Just in time too - I'm having dinner with some friends tonight at May Street Market and I could use the dough!

Congratulations! I'll bet it was dianacarbonate's prodding that lit a fire under him to finally refund your money.

i was waiting to talk to him until i heard from you guys about whether you had gotten refunds or not, so it wasn't me. and i'm willing to bet that his mother had nothing to do with it. i think he just finally got around to dealing with an unpleasant task.
or maybe he saw that i posted on here and did it so that he wouldn't have to talk to me about it! just kidding.
