Though I didn't call it panchan (my Korean isn't as developed as that of a native like you, Gary), I did note above some delicious "sides" - including pickled peppers and marinated daikon. And my comments about the pristinely fresh produce apply at least partially to the wide array of panchan as well.

Referring to my Korean as developed is like calling an embryo a full grown ostrich. :)

So, I'm not sure that I have much to add that hasn't already been said about the lunch, but certainly wanted to chime in and echo some of the sentiments already noted. The meal was good, with several highlights (the addition of sesame leaf and sesame dipping sauce made the kalbi really sing in my book), but unfortunately the place didn't leave me craving more. The noted lack of char on the meats was disappointing, the dumplings were lacking pop, the squid and tongue (at least the pieces I had) were quite tough. Not that it wasn't a good meal, but I didn't walk out thinking "how did I not know about this place before and how soon can I come back?" which is what I've become accustomed to after first-time visits to GNRs.

Much thanks to Kennyz for organizing - the company and conversation were fantastic.
