I'm in and thinking I'll bring some kind of side. May also go in on some Uncle John's hot links with mbh if she's up for that.

Boudreau is sad that he can't be there but understands and hopes we all have a lovely time :P

Cabbagehead and I will be there. Straight from 1959, we will bring Jewish-American sweet and sour meatballs. Besides giving me an opportunity to use the chafing dish inherited from an aunt, the little beauties can be speared with toothpicks and ever so elegantly passed around. Just my little bit to contribute to GAF's chrono-cuisine!

I'm in for 3, still figuring out what I'm bringing, but I'll decide in the next week. Now I need to find the fat pants.

I'm in, as is the Chow Poodle. I'll be bringing a sideline cooler with 5 gallons of spring water and, once again, zen method brisket. This year, I'll make two briskets so more people will have a chance to try it.

Cannot miss this. Haven't missed one yet.

I'm going to bring my ho-made gin. Made in kitchen, not bath tub. [It's vodka infused with gin flavors and makes an ENTIRELY delicious gin & tonic.] I'm tired of bringing vegetables nobody eats because they're filling up on meat & desert . . . which is what I always do, too.
I'm going to be sure my offering gets consumed . . . I'm bringing booze! And tonic water. And limes.

And probably some vegetable or fruit dish to be decided later.

And some water. We ran out of water and ice rather early last year. I had to chase some kids away from some booze . . . they weren't trying to sneak booze, but they were simply thirsty. I found them something safer to drink. [Unless they WERE trying to sneak booze . . . but they were pretty young young 'uns . . . .]

i think mikeG's idea is a brilliant one. last year, the spread was not only overwhelming, but it was awkward reaching over people seated at the tables to get at the food. so i'm probably going to bring a passable dish. i'm leaning towards the greek feta tart from last months Saveur. i'll test it first on myself.
can't wait to try giovanna's gin and tonic. that's my drink! justjoan

i think everyone should be encouraged to supply their own water. this is in addition to whatever interesting drinks are being brought. personally, i dont approve of bottled water and all the waste it brings. if we each bring some, it wont be necessary to buy a lot of bottled water for the group. justjoan (i'll be bringing water and iced tea or lemonade)
