I'm sorry to have had to miss it, but I'm glad to see the group enjoyed Silk Mandarin so much. It reinforces my view that it's head and shoulders above any other Chinese dining options in the area.

Absolutely head and shoulders above the others. And sorry you couldn't join us.

I'm not sure how Silk Mandarin fell off my radar, except that I just don't get up to Vernon Hills much any more. I used to love going for their Sunday buffet, because there were so many things that I had only seen before while traveling in China. It was like a mini vacation every time I went.

So I'm delighted to be reintroduced to an old favorite. I don't think I'll forget it again!
