No obstacles that I can think of. Most of the N/S streets pass under the highway. I'm thinking it might be a little longer than a 10 minute walk, though. You might hit the very northern reaches of the market in 10 minutes from Union Station, but I'd figure closer to 15 minutes or more to get to the meet up spot.

That'll be plenty. 2 tacos will be filling, 3 is doable and you'll be stuffed. 4 would be a LOT. Tacos are less than $4. There's other munchies and a few produce vendors. One spot sells only in bulk. Got 30+ peaches and 20+ small avocados for $9 last week.

Hi- I can guarantee that the avocados are not local, and for that price, the peaches are not either unless they are extra ripe. I am going to show up, but I have to figure out the best way to get there on the L from Evanston. I don't mind walking a ways. I am not a really big eater, and so three tacos should be plenty. $30 should definitely be more than enough. I'm sure it's obvious, but we should each decide to buy our own tacos or form smaller buddy groups to share larger things such as quesadillas, birria, etc. Also, there will be no roll call, just too many people. If you think you may have travel/traffic delays try to arrive early. We will take off shortly after 1pm so if you don't make it on time I'm sure you can locate the giant slow moving group of LTHers not far from the big red M.

Sad I will have to miss this - my daughter's boyfriend's new place is doing their friends and family so I will be eating well just not with the LTH crew! Have a few tacos for me!

I don't live far so biked it home in a backpack. Also, Maxwell St is more like a flea market...definitely nothing like a farmers market so don't expect to see local, organic, etc. Not worth trying to figure out where some of the stuff comes from.

Tacos are amazing though and Rubi's is worth the wait. Bring some water (or buy some) since the grilled jalapenos and salsa can get H.O.T.

FYI. Parking was free Sunday if you park South of Roosevelt. At least it was where we parked on Jefferson. It is not free north.
