FYI - for those coming from the northern suburbs, at 4:39 pm today it is presently a one hour drive to our destination restaurant.

I checked to give me an orientation for tomorrow.

What a lovely party, both food and company were so enjoyable. I am beyond thrilled to receive a bottle of Dark Lord Russian Style Imperial Stout in the gift exchange. There was no note so I do not know who to thank, if anyone knows can you please share? I plan to bring this to my family Christmas get together, and will share it only with those in the know. A huge thank you to the organizers and the staff at Analogue.

I was thrilled to be able to make it to my first LTH holiday party last night, thanks to it being on a Thursday. The company was great, the setup equally great, and the Analogue staff knocked it out of the park . . and then some. Having eaten at Analogue so many times, I went in with tempered expectations as to food quality, knowing that preparing that quantity of food for a large group to be served at single moment is a monumental task. I was stunned that the food quality equaled or exceeded my other dining experiences there, thanks in part to those gorgeous meat pies which Fredo told me had basically a 1:1 ratio of lard to butter for the amazing crust. And that gravy!

So thanks to the Analogue staff, thanks to all of the great LTH folks who were there, and thanks to those of you who made all of the arrangements and organized the fantastic evening . . . it could not have been more enjoyable.

We also enjoyed being with all our LTH friends last night.
but I also do not know who my gifts came from -
I received tea and a mug , plus marmalade, ginger and lemon curd.
Perhaps next year we need to re-emphasize to put a from tag on your gift....

Thanks for another great event! I was lucky enough to sit at a table full of nice folks.

Hello and goodbye to all the folks I missed schmoozing with (I think there were a lot this year, I pooped out early).

Mr. Pie loved the bread pudding I brought home for him. ;)

The food was amazing as expected, but I agree that the wonderful staff made the evening making sure everything flowed smoothly and that all corners of the room were served. Hat's off to Chef Fredo and his crew, and to the LTHers who organized the party.

I loved catching up with people I haven't seen in a while even though I didn't wind up talking to everyone I wanted to.

Yes, a great time, as so many LTH events are. I also missed catching up with as many people as I'd have liked, butter will probably be more opportunities. One question that came up at our table ... was this the 10th or 11th LTH annual holiday party?

It all began at Klas in 2005.

Double checking by counting my fingers, it appears this was our 11th.

I brought the lemon curd, orange and ginger marmalade and only later realized I hadn't left a name. We, too, had a wonderful time and ended up reconnecting with an old college friend (Leekman) from 30+ years and half a continent ago. The food was delicious, the company awesome, but the acoustics were really hard on my aging ears. This was only our 2nd LTH party, and we look forward to more!

Can I say how delicious the dirty rice was? How much I loved the Pimento toasts?

And winning the Gingerbread House - best ever!

Somehow I think we actually did win it in a distant past event, but someone who was wildly disappointed he/she didn't win it convinced us to trade. This year we resisted such offers and were rewarded. YUM!

First, I have to commend the staff at Analogue for the outstanding job they did of taking care of all of the guests, getting them their appetizers, and somehow managing to have the food be in great shape even though it was on a steam buffet. There was a tall gentleman who was looking after things in the back room who was an especially wonderful host/expediter.
I especially loved the dirty rice, chicken, and want to have a LTR with the meat pies.

Second, I'm sorry I ducked out early and did not fulfill my Vanna White/gift shilling/gift running duties.

Thank you, PEEDEE, for not making me feel like I was the only one.

Sometimes any or all of a combination of noisy, crowded, hot rooms and rich food don't agree with me. [That's why I was attempting to resell my ticket before the event.] I'm certainly glad that I came and saw everyone and ate as much of that wonderful food as nature would allow.

    Hi,

I have a party to throw for a relative. I have those pimento toasts on my mind. I have to practice to see how to spread with a layer of pepper jelly below, then melt carefully. I am sure this would be the day a kitchen salamander would come in handy.

I also liked very much the soft creamy chicken liver mousse with a blackberry on top. Dim lighting does not always permit a clear view. I kept asking the server what was the black thing, because the individual globs looked too big for caviar. I really wasn't sure what I was eating for a while, except it was really great to eat.

Giovanna, we found good help, so in spirit you were there.

    Regards,
    Cathy2
