Nov 9th is out for me too. The next week would be better.

As this continues to get pushed back, I'll throw out Dec. 5th for consideration. Avec is high on my list of places to hit on a return trip. In fact, I would have been there last time had the friend I was meeting for dinner not been stationed in Rolling Meadows for two weeks.

This is a date that works for my wife, so I'm game. I know it works for others too. The key thing, we cannot be out that late, as she works early the next day.

Is 5:30 too early of a start?

I (and DH) can do this. I would prefer 6:30, but it's your party.

I would prefer later than 5:30 as well. 6:00 or 6:30 would be great. I could probably make 5:30, but since I'm coming in to work more than to hit Avec, I like to maintain a little flexibility.

I am a maybe on this date. At some point in early December I need to be in Italy for a series of lectures. I don't have the dates yet. I've put the Avec dinner in my calendar, but I would guess that the chances are 50-50.

Well, I hate to say this, but I cannot make it that night. I know a few of you have asked, and I was waiting to see how my schedule played out. Much appologies.

I see no reason why people cannot still meet at Avec on 12/5. Regardless, I STILL need to try Avec, and I will throw out a date in January when my wife and I can attend. Sorry for doing this. :(

I still plan to be there and would be happy to have anyone else join me. I'm shooting for 6:30, unless there's a huge outcry otherwise, or unless someone can verify that it's much easier to get seating for 6-8 at, say, 6:00 than 6:30.

    So far I've got:

I am assuming that Avec is now definite for tomorrow (Tuesday 12/5) at 6:30. I'll be there.

We're still on, with my +1 arriving shortly after his train comes into Ogilve at 6:30 (he'll walk over, I suspect). I'm pretty sure I would recognize GAF, but not sure about anyone else (I'm REALLY bad about recognizing people).

So I'll be wearing a black parka and an orange/yellow/rust-colored hat with ear flaps. I'm female, with glasses.

    Picture of a similar hat

How are we working paying? I suspect it will be more economical if we get bottles of wine instead of glasses...

I think for paying, we can figure it out as we go. Bottles work for me...I'm not too picky. I'm guessing we'll just order a bunch of stuff and split the tab six ways, or however many.

If anyone else is still interested in joining, I don't think a party of eight will be a problem.
