With just a few days to go before the picnic, it'd be very helpful if anyone whose status has changed since Cathy last updated it here let her know.

    Thanks! :)

I'm a maybe but probably not. Kid's last baseball tournament of the year (and since he's a senior, one of his last ever.) If they get knocked out early, I might stop by late but I'm not expecting that to happen. Sorry to miss--looking forward to seeing the pics.

It's coming down to the wire, and the muse hasn't struck either of us.
SueF will definitely bring some sort of dessert, I will bring something likely to be classified as appetizer, possibly a rerun such as my Indian 7-layer Dip if I can't come up with anything else.

    Hi Joan,

We will have labels for whatever they bring!

Why not send me a PM with their names or they can fill it in themselves.

Well, to keep the Thai theme alive (at least for me), I'll be doing a grilled beef heart nam tok (Thai waterfall beef salad). I also plan on bringing a sour cherry pie (but be warned, I didn't do the perfect job of pitting  )

Hello- Nik and I would love to come.. He's running a half marathon in the morning, so we'll also be rolling in sometime after lunch. We'll bring some kind of finger food to pass around, and a main.
Thinking of Malaysian style satay, if we can organise a grill, but will update asap.

I will be there, along with soft boiled plus 2 (I'll be a little late, soft boiled coming super fashionably late at around 3 pm due to napping little one). Food TBD.

    Hi,

I am bringing a variant of a Wisconsin relish plate:
    - Seasoned cottage cheese
    - Pickled olives
    - Crudites with a curry dip
    - Pimento cheese with crackers

    Salted caramels.

I may make my Oma's plum and/or apple cake. It could be half-and-half.

My sister Laura is bringing pate. She probably will make cupcakes, too.

    Regards,
    Cathy2

oh dear, i've just decided there are alot of desserts so i'm planning to bring pimiento cheese sandwiches instead of, or maybe along with, some brownies... but in my world there is no such thing as TOO MUCH pimiento cheese, so i'm sticking with my new plan. punch is coming, too, of course....

What happened to Thai Town? Maybe I can bring along a small amount of Kao ji to help out.

I think I'm the only one left in Thai Town. I was hoping to avoid bringing the bottom portion of my WSM so if you wouldn't mind bringing the Smokey Joe, that would be fantastic. I'll bring some charcoal though. Thanks Panther.

BTW, I told Clelamatron that she could use mine for satay (so more Thai-ish offerings) . . . but I should have more than enough charcoal for all of us. What time are you planning on being there?

Unfortunately, as sometimes happens, a majority of those of us who usually participate in the "towns" have conflicts and either can't make it or didn't have the time to do all the prep for the structure and the food.

We skipped the year between taco town and tiki town as well. So look for something great in 2017!

Nametags and food labels will be printed early tomorrow morning. If you come later, you get to hand write!

For those wondering what to bring, here are a few suggestions:

    - While we have considerable adult beverages, it would be nice to have some non-alcohol beverages. Coke, diet Coke, Sprite, something along those lines.
    - A few bags of ice for beverages
    - A container of baby wipes to clean off hands
    - Cups -- I will bring a motley crew of plastic cups. If you have an odd number of cups leftover, bring it.
    - Already have a number of six-inch plates. A package of 100 dinner plates will fit the bill.
