On April 13th, a fundraiser will be held for the Culinary Trust and the Chicago History Museum to help preserve Chicago historic menus.

Bruce Kraig (President of the Culinary Historians of Chicago) and Rick Bayless will be making presentations.

The event is at Roosevelt University (formerly the Auditorium Hotel, 430 South Michigan Avenue) on Friday April 13, 2007 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. The cost is $100 ($50 is tax-deductible). For tickets contact, Trina Gribbins at the Culinary Trust at 800-928-4227 or tgribbins@hqtrs.com

If there is sufficient interest, perhaps we can organize an LTH table. Cathy2 and I will be attending.

I have found out additional information from Ms. Gribbins. The event is NOT a sit down dinner, but a lecture session (about thirty minutes with Prof. Kraig and Chef Bayless) and then a walk-around, grazing at food stations. So there will not be tables, LTH or otherwise.

I confess that this format is less appealing to me personally, and I haven't decided if I will attend. But it is certainly for a worthy cause.
