I actually love the iced coffee at Dunkin' Donuts.. Although its ripoff if u think about it as 60% of the cup is ice.... But this is a great deal since its free :)

Dunkin' Donuts, the largest coffee and baked goods chain in the world, wants to help customers put winter "on ice." On Wednesday, March 21, the official first day of spring, Dunkin' Donuts will host its first-ever all day, nationwide "Free Iced Coffee Day."

For 24 hours on March 21, customers can visit any participating Dunkin' Donuts restaurant in the country and receive a free 16 oz. cup of Dunkin' Donuts' premium iced coffee, which is double-brewed to ensure full flavor with every cup.

That's not really any different from any fountain beverage you get at restaurant. The only difference is that DD's iced coffee comes in a clear cup so you can see exactly how much ice is there to start.

I believe researchers have calculated exactly how much ice a restaurant can put in a fountain drink to maximize profits yet not looking like they are greedy. A cup gets filled with 60% ice, then 2/3rds of it melts as you eat your meal and slowly drink the soda. When the soda is gone, you look in the cup and see about 20% ice at the bottom which seems reasonable. I always look for the ice line printed on the outside of a cup to see exactly what the corporate policy is regarding this.
When I grow up, I'm going to Bovine University!
