Sandor Katz, aka Sandorkraut, author of The Revolution Will Not Be Microwaved and self-described "fermentation fetishist"will be in the Chicago area in September. An event is in the works for September 15th from 1-4 PM those who want to learn his techniques for such delights as artisanal kimchi and sauerkraut. Nancy Klem, Chicago resident and urban forager, will lead a foraging group before Mr. Katz's presentation.
Cost of the event: $50. Stay tuned for the location and further details.

I spoke with Julie from beyondtoday.org and she said the events are filling up fast. Prepayment is expected, and she has suggested that it is more expedient to do so on paypal so I am posting this link to the beyondtoday.org website where the details for September 15 are available on the calendar.
