What makes a great bowl of chili? Perfectly roasted peppers, an exotic blend of spices, red wine, bourbon, grilled vegetables, chocolate? The combinations are endless, and this simple, provincial dish can often render delightfully intriguing results.
On Saturday, October 20 at 11:00 am chili chefs from across the Midwest will compete for the title of Grand Champion at the Comcast Chili Challenge at the Barn Burner BBQ at Lambs Farm. Amateur and professional chefs are invited to enter the Chili Challenge and test the limits of their culinary creativity. The competition will be judged by those in attendance at The Barn Burner BBQ. The spicy food fest will feature a sanctioned Kansas City BBQ Society competition, live music, raffles, demonstrations as well as the Comcast Chili Challenge. All the festivities will take place on Lambs Farm’s campus in Libertyville, Illinois.
Lambs Farm is a non-profit organization in Libertyville, Illinois that empowers people with developmental disabilities to lead personally fulfilling lives through a full range of services, residential assistance and social support.
