GNR Renewal Lunch @ Birrieria Reyes de Ocotlán, 3/5, 12:30PM

Join me and the Venerable MikeG at a GNR-renewal lunch at Birrieria Reyes de Ocotlán, 3/5, 12:30PM. If weather continues dark, cold and moist, a bowl of steaming goat soup will prove a most delicious SAD antidote.

    Birrieria Reyes de Ocotlán
    1322 West 18th Street

I am there, though I was not aware that Mike was so old as to be venerable.

Count me in (though I'll have to run at 1:20 or so).

Because BRdO serves basically just one thing, in soup or taco, prepared and ready to go, it's actually rather fast food.

As I recall, they may also have tongue, but goat is the allure of this place for me.

Someone put that on the masthead!

Okay if I quote you on this, Hammy? Seems like it could be applied to many every day situations.

This is an inherently true statement. Another:

Any LTH event will run approximately Pi times the length of a normal meal. We could spend 45 minutes over a cardboard tray of 4 Chicken McNuggets, without even starting on the sauce tubs. I'm apologizing in advance for ducking out of what I'm sure will be an admirable and lively goat debate.

I am a probable yes. I need to get a Visa to Brazil that morning, and if that goes smoothly, I'll be there.

Just called to confirm they're open (they are, though they now close at 6:00PM -- I believe it used to be 8:00PM). This is proving to be quite an august gathering -- with MikeG, VI, GAF, JSM, dickson, Sandander -- and of course, anyone else who spontaneously elects to jump aboard.

    See you at 12:30PM today.

Assuming that there is still room, I'd like to join you.

There's loads of room (as long as you don't mind sitting in a preformed masonite bench-type table, which as I recall is the primary kind of dining furniture that have at BRdO).

    FYI, my cell is 708-902-3969.
