The year, the American Dietetic Association is holding its annual Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo (FNCE) in Chicago the last weekend in October. Two of the practice groups – Hunger and Environmental Nutrition (HEN) and Americans Overseas Dietetic Association (AODA) – are hosting a night of film, which they describe as an exploration of the precarious relationship between humanity, water, and food. They will be screening two short films about the issues of water and food security followed by a panel discussion.
The film event, formally known as the FNCE Film Festival: Food (and Water) for Thought, will be held on Sunday, October 26 at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 East Washington St. The member reception is 6:00 – 7:00 pm with the films and panel discussion from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
