FamilyFarmed Expo, Media Meet-Up, November 13

Leading up to the FamilyFarmed EXPO on November 21-23 at the Chicago Cultural Center, FamilyFarmed.org has organized a Media Meet-Up featuring a panel of seasoned journalists who will shed light on how news-gathering works, so farmers and producers can better understand how to recognize compelling story ideas and pitch them to media.

The forum will serve to introduce select Chicago media contacts to farmers and producers who will participate in the FamilyFarmed EXPO. It can be daunting for local farmers and producers to figure out how to market their products with a limited – if any – marketing and PR budget. The Media Meet-Up will help farmers and producers learn how to effectively connect with media and share their stories. At the same time, media can meet local farmers and producers who can grow into important sources as they develop stories that are compelling to their audience.

WHAT: A lively, interactive panel discussion moderated by Jim Slama, Founder and President of FamilyFarmed.org
