MEXICAN FIESTA FARM DINNER AT HERITAGE PRAIRIE FARM

Celebrate local food and the colorful Mexican culture at Heritage Prairie Farm on Thursday, September 24th. The Mexican Fiesta Farm Dinner will start at 6:00 p.m. with a tour of our sustainable farm followed by a family-style farm feast.

Traditional mariachi performers will entertain guests throughout the evening. Diners sit with family and friends at a convivial dinner table while the sun sets over the fields. Guests may bring their favorite beverages or choose from a selection of local wine and beer available for purchase by the glass.

Welcome Cocktail- Hibiscus flower cooler with orange liquor and mescal

Passed Appetizers- Assorted Mexican sodas; Corn soup shooters, chili oil, micro cilantro; Tamarind Duck confit Tostadas, petite slaw; Summer Melon, Jicama, Cucumber, chili, lime and salt

On the Table- Corn crackers, assorted Mexican breads, spiced pear butter; Pickles; Carrots and Cauliflower with coriander and garlic; Jalapeno and Onion with thyme and bay leaf; Red Onion Escabeche with Sour Orange and oregano

The Dinner- Barbacoa (slow braised beef with ancho and cocao); Calabacitas (stewed squash, tomato, corn); Black Bean and epazote Tamales; Potato, Chayote and Butternut Squash hash with Caramelized Spanish Onions and Poblanos; Chilaquiles with Guajillo Chile, Cotija Cheese and Crema; Market salad with Pepita vinaigrette; Traditional Mexican Rice; Assorted Salsas
