The Fourth Presbyterian Church and Chicago Ave. Community Garden (~ Chicago Ave. & Hudson Ave.) are looking for volunteers for their
Fall Harvest Cookout this Saturday, September 26th.
At our cookouts, we normally see 250 people attend and everyone has a wonderful time. It’s a community effort and all hands are needed to feed each other and help people to feel welcome. Participation as a volunteer, is an integral part to making these events happen.
The theme for the September 26th cookout is Fall Harvest. We as a community of gardeners, neighbors, volunteers and congregants come together to celebrate community. This month we will have a jazz trio, a kids craft project, icebreaker activities for the adults, a blessing, and food. Feel free to bring your own food to add to the mix.
All of the food served comes from the garden, and attendees can bring home garden produce. Volunteers are welcome to enjoy the cookout before and/or after their shifts and also to bring their children. See below for the roles they need to fill. Contact Natasha for more information. Tell her Sharon Bautista from the Turbodog Spirit Center sent you:
