Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicago Dead Lloyd Kaufman in Person!
December 11th & 12th at Midnight
"An alternately hilarious and stomach-churning exercise in really bad taste that makes SOUTH PARK look like classic Ingmar Bergman by comparison.”
- Fangoria Magazine
This weekend Music Box Theatre is excited to welcome director/writer/producer/actor Lloyd Kaufman to present his slapstick-gore cult film POULTRYGEIST: NIGHT OF THE CHICKEN DEAD, screening Friday, December 11th and Saturday, December 12th at midnight.
The film’s production company, Troma Entertainment, touts POULTRYGEIST as “cinema’s first chicken-zombie horror-comedy…with musical numbers!” and the dancing does not disappoint either. With it’s tastless humor, gratuitous nudity and cultural insensitivity, there is no one that won’t find this film offensive.
When dim-witted Arbie (Jason Yachanin) takes a job at the newly-opened “American Chicken Bunker” to spite his former high school sweetheart Wendy (Kate Graham), he joins a motley crew of coworkers, including suspicious restaurant owner General Lee Roy (Robin L. Watkins). Coworkers and customers then begin dying in disturbing ways and Arbie worries that something is awry at the American Chicken Bunker, and it is much more FOWL than he originally suspected.
Lloyd Kaufman is scheduled to attend both screenings.
