    Mingle in the garden and enjoy an adult evening. The menu begins with appetizers and wine on Chicago’s first certified-organic roof-top garden (weather permitting) and continues with a sustainable seafood dinner created exclusively for this event. Coupled with dessert and a meet-and-greet with Shedd’s horticulturist Christine Nye, this is an evening you will not want to miss! Program includes a "green" garden tool kit.

    MENU:
    COCKTAIL HOUR PASSED APPETIZERS
    Smoked Lake Superior Whitefish crostini, arugula & citrus salad, caper aioli
    Laughing bird shrimp ceviche, jalapenos, red onion, cilantro
    Olive oil poached pole caught yellow fin tuna, brioche crouton, gribiche, olive relish, chervil

    FIRST COURSE
    Seared wild Alaskan halibut, sorrel gnocchi, peas, fava beans, fava leaves, lemon buerre blanc

    SECOND COURSE
    Grilled wild salmon, Carolina gold rice, asparagus, ramp, crab & watercress salad, guajillo chili oil

    THIRD COURSE
    Strawberry rhubarb shortcake, Chantilly cream

    Dinner begins at 6 p.m. Seating is limited and advanced registration is required.
    Wednesday, May 5, 6 to 9 p.m.
    Price: $75 a person ($70 Shedd members)
