    This is one of the better county fairs in the area (Boone and the Sandwich being the other ones) and focuses a lot on the 4-H exhibits, both agricultural and crafts. It is the oldest 4-H fair in the country.

    Also, many of the nonprofits serve up some very good food.

    Hi- Actually the Berrien County Fair in Berrien Springs, Michigan, is very good, and is the largest county fair in the midwest. It is much better than the Lake County Fair in Grayslake. It is right across the street from Andrews University, which is the largest 7th Day Adventist college in the country. The fair takes place from August 16-21, and you can see Charlie Daniels for only $25 in the grandstand. They also have the usual demolition derby, and circus, as well as a rock band that I have never heard of, but maybe some of you have. The website is http://bcyf.org
