Sunday in the Garden: Sanford Farm at Old World WisconsinSUNDAY August 21st, 10:30 am–noon
Celebrate the Summer 2011 release of Putting Down Roots: Gardening Insights from Wisconsin's Early Settlers by Old World Wisconsin's historical gardener, Marcia Carmichael. She'll take us on an in-the-field garden visit as she shares her wisdom in the Sanford garden at Old World Wisconsin. We'll walk and chat, pet and sniff, as you meet the plants and learn about their uses and history. (Books will be available for purchase at the museum store, but a purchase is not required for participation. Marcia will be happy to sign copies of the book after the garden visit.) We will stop by the Clausing Barn Restaurant after the tour, where, in honor of the event there will a special lunch choice based on produce or a recipe from the Sanford kitchen garden. Cost is $5 (lunch not included).
