Post #1 - June 7th, 2011, 8:01 amThe Evanston lunch group will be meeting Thursday June 23 at 12:30 at a Haitian restaurant, Chez Violette, 2311 W. Howard, 773-961-7275.
I will try to order in advance to make sure that they have what we would like to try out, so I would be grateful if you would let me know by Monday if you can make it so that I can order appropriately.

Post #7 - June 21st, 2011, 1:08 pmI went to order lunch for Thursday today at noon, and in spite of a sign in the window indicating "Sorry, we're closed", they were indeed open and I was able to place an order for 3 cod pates and onebanane pesee as appetizers, two orders of chicken, one of goat stew, and one of whole red snapper in sauce for assorted main courses. I mentioned that we would be sharing family style -- the only time my French broke down and I had to explain in English. We can alway order more, of course, if that is not enough, but I didn't want to over-order right away.
