Caputo's Cheese Market - not to be confused with Angelo Caputo's Fresh Markets - is the June destination for LTH North. Caputo's gets lots of coverage in the Shopping & Cooking section of LTH. Hardly a blip in the Eating Out in Chicagoland section.

LTH North shall remedy that issue on June 23rd at noon. Weather permitting, we shall dine alfresco. Hopefully we won't offend any of the highbrows of Lake Forest. 8)

Come join us. Bring a friend. For you city folks, it's a short walk from the Metra Lake Forest station.

    Hi,

I plan to attend. Put Helen down, because I cannot imagine she would miss this!

    Thanks for organizing!

Oh, darn! I had hoped to join you this month, but that is the same date as the Evanston Lunch Group's outing to Chez Violette. Evanston First!!! :)

Yes - but LTH North does not require membership cards. 8)

I am in. If there are any problems, I will try to act as intermediary between the riffraff and the highbrows.

    Thanks, Will

Someone to help us when we order "1 of everything." Which might be possible at Caputo's since they dont have a ton of different sandwiches.

    Hi,

I was wondering if they might make us a Will Special?

We should call to make sure they will be open...much of Lake Forest has been without power for the day.

I agree. If it is not yet open, go somewhere else.

They are open, but allow extra time to get there....a lot of the stop lights in LF are out. Also, it is probably going to be busy since half of LF is still without power and everyone is going out to eat. See you there...I might be +2.

    HI,

Lunch time in Highland Park was bristling with people yesterday. At least at noon yesterday on 41, there were lights out at Half Day and Old Elm Roads. Fortunately at Half Day, Highland Park Police were manually controlling traffic. A similar effort was needed at Old Elm, but it was honor system stop sign there.

I was in Hinsdale last night. It had similar problems of vast stretches with lights out and lots of tree debris.

    Regards,
    Cathy2
