It is BYO and I'm also 95% in. My wife is going to Florida either that night or the next morning and my plans depend on whether or not I have to drive her to the airport.

Aw, man! Seebee comes to one I can't make, and had wanted to talk kitchen renovation and tamales. Enjoy and post well; I have hope for August if it's after 8/5.

That's two of my three favorite topics of discussion. The third being a toss up between bbq, and women as gorgeous as Mila Kunis.

I'll bring some sour beers -- a fine pairing option I learned from a couple friends...and maybe some whiskey.

I'm not very knowledgeable about beers but it seems to me that it really depends on the specific dishes. What I'm learning is that sour beers not only stand up well to the bold, spicy flavors of Thai food but they also complement it nicely. At the meal to which I linked above, the Liefmans Goudenband, Petrus Aged Pale, Abbaye e Saint Bon-Chien, Geuze Mariage Parfait and Breury Marron Acidifie (this one is quite rare, I'm told) were all stand-outs for me.

In the same vein, I like tart wines with Thai food, especially New Zealand sauvignon blanc.

    HI,

I'm surprised nobody is bringing a Riesling or a Gewürztraminer, both I have heard paired well with Thai food.

I'm bummed. About a week ago, Walgreens had Domaine Chandon for $9. I knew I should have bought then. I went for tonight & none.

I'll bring some hard stuff, which goes well with Thai.
