Beer, Bugs and Basketball..CRAWFISH at TOONS Sat. March 23rd

Happy Spring all. It is finally Crawfish Season and that means Monthly Boils at Toons Bar & Grill.
This will technically be our second boil of the year and we are going to bring it! At 2PM we will have about 800lbs of Louisiana's finest export. Of course Corn, Potato, Mushrooms, Garlic, GWIV's favorite cheap ass hot dogs and smoked sausage will also be in the pot. Red Beans and Rice as well as Muffaletta's will be included in the $30 all you can eat package. We will have plenty of Abita Beers on special as well. A Live Blues duo will be playing for tips as well. Come on out and they have been filling in quick, so come on in early and grab a seat and sit a while...Forgot this will be the Second round of NCAA Mens Basketball Tourney so we will have all the games on...

& Memorial Day Weekend.

Thank you, Danny!!! You don't know how long I've been waiting for this announcement. Barring any unforseen circumstances, I will be there. So looking forward to it.

Planning on attending my first crawfish boil at Toons on Saturday. Could not find good info on their website. Is it the same time as the March event, with Crawfish ready at 2:00? if so, how much earlier than that do we need to be there to make sure we get to enjoy the mudbugs?

They tend to use FB for publicizing events. Here's what i found there:

160 wristbands available.. They will be for sale at 11 am on Sat. Crawfish at 1:30

If I'm not mistaken Toon's is having another boil tomorrow. Does anyone who has been know what time we should get there to get wristbands? LIke an hour before they sell them? Half hour? I've always wanted to go and haven't been so I'd be bummed if I miss out. Also, I'm not on facebook so can't check their page. Yes, I'm not on facebook.

I would arrive as early as possible. Not only are the boils very popular, but the entire Southport Strollerdor is ripped up due to construction, parking may be a challenge this weekend.

Thanks. I am planning on going today with my 2 sons. We'll try to hit it early. As a non-Facebooker, this is useful info. I couldn't get on the Toons Facebook site for updates.

I just called to confirm that there is a mudbug boil today. Was told that there are already people there buying wristbands and was advised to come now before they sell out. Leaving with my boys shortly. DANNY - save 2 wristbands for me please!!

Another great time at Toons for their last mudbug fest of the year. Two days later and I still am craving more of those delicious creatures. Great to see you, Danny!! Thanks for throwing another helluva party.

Thanks Seamus for coming as well as thepld. We had a great year and they have been selling out every time. This one was 1000 lbs live mudbugs! Hopefully we will do a few more next year, this season was 4 total. Thanks Danny
