Sorry this took me so long to post.
I am hosting the April dessert exchange at my house in Mt Prospect.
    I can manage 12 people.
As usual, make a dessert and bring it to share. A light meal will be served and then we will dig in to the desserts. Bring a container or two to take home some extra to share and/or eat later.
I you haven't attended before and want more information PM me - you are very welcome to join us.
Not sure what I will be making yet - will post when I have decided.

I'll be there! What I'm making depends on whether Cathy2 and/or lazygal09 are also going.

Unfortunately, I will be out of town for this exchange. But I'd love to host at the end of May if no one has offered yet. I haven't hosted at our new(ish) place and would love to before the baby comes and I'm too sleep deprived to do anything for awhile :)

You don't have to. Cathy, Lazy and I found recipes since then, so we thought we'd make ours too, and see how they differ from yours and Sue's.

It might be nice if all five of us could bring our recipes. It would be interesting to see the different ingredients vs. the recipe source.

I plan on making chicken bastilla and a salad for our meal. Not sure about dessert yet, but with so much butter cake coming, I think I will need to make something chocolate to balance it out.

I'm very sorry to do this at the last minute, and I'm sorry to break up our trio of butter cakes, but I have to back out of tomorrow's exchange. We got some very bad news at the vet and I want to stay close by for my kitty. :( Plus, I doubt I'd be very good company. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures and details on the Gooey-off.

We missed you Pie Lady! Pics look great.

Cathy's is the squarish one - it came from a mix and had more of a shortbread-y base and a cream cheesy top.
Mine is in the red dish - from the NY Times (Nov 2009). I added lavender to the base (it was more biscuit-y) and lemon zest to the tons-of-butter top.
