    Join us for What might just be the First Wild Alaskan Salmon Bake Ever Held in Galesburg, Illinois!

    Sitka Salmon Shares, Q's Cafe, and Baked Pizza are taking it to the streets for a salmon bake inspired by street food: salmon tacos, salmon burgers, and salmon sausage will be the stars of the menu.

    Plus: The World Famous Hammer & Pick Folk Trio will provide the music. Fun activities will abound!

    When? Saturday, September 21, 2013, 11am-2pm

    Where? Lake Storey, Picnic Shelter #4 -N. Lake Storey Road, Galesburg Illinois

    Ticket Prices: $15 for adults, $10 for students, and free for children under 12.

    On Friday, Cathy and I will also be speaking on a food and sustainability panel at Knox College, followed by a "Alaska meets Midwest" wild Sitka salmon macaroni and cheese tasting:

    I think wild salmon macaroni and cheese would make a very interesting picnic food...just sayin' :)
