It is that time of the year again to post about the cookie exchange.
This year I am capping the event at 10, so only 9 people can sign up.
    The rules are as follows:
We bring a dozen packaged cookies for the other attendees, and a dozen to the event so we can all try the cookies at my place.
A total of 132 cookies if my addition is correct.
I make a light meal for everyone, the event starts at 3PM sharp and usually winds down by 6PM.
    Last years cookies were outstanding.
If everyone can email me the recipe as I put together a little booklet of the cookie recipes for everyone.
I look forward to another great cookie event.
    List of attendees:
    1. Cookie Monster-Chocolate Sour Cherry Chunkers
    2. Leek- Gingerbread Cookies
    3. Cathy2-Apricot Crescents
    4. Cathy2 - bittersweet chocolate cookies
    5. Ms Ingie-Chai PumpkinThumbprint Cookies
    6. Mrsm-chile spiced cookie
    7. Irisarbor-Classic Shortbread Finger COokies
    8. Dianeck-Hawaiian Wedding Cake Cookies

    In for one, please :)

Question - would folks rather get cookies that are really tasty but don't look "Christmasy" or cookies that look like trees, stars, whatever, with pretty decor, but maybe are just a sugar cookie?

    Hi,

Lee - speaking only for me, I prefer tasting good over looks.

I am in. I will probably make the apricot thingies I brought to a dessert exchange. Looks are low, but the taste is outstanding.

    Thanks!

    Regards,
    Cathy2

    You are always welcome.
    Adding you to the list.

I am truly sorry, but I will have to drop out. An early extended family holiday party has been scheduled for the same afternoon, way up in the Woodstock area. The times overlap too much for me to be able to make both work.

    Have a good time all.

I think I will be making a chile spiced cookie that is a variation of this version from The Splendid Table. Except, it will be chocolate, and it won't be covered in powdered sugar,....

Oh why can't I ever just stick with a recipe

    Hi,

UCJames cannot make it, this brings the number of people participating to eight.

I am willing to bring a second cookie type, if I can take another portion of cookies. This would allow for nine varieties of cookies instead of eight. Recently I made 'adult' chocolate chip cookies with 70% hand chopped bittersweet chocolate and toasted pecans. They made quite a favorable impression on my family.

Of course, it is not too late for one or two more people to join this exchange.

    Regards,
    Cathy2

Unfortunately, I have a jury trial next week. No cookies baked. And I will not attend. I did send Dobra the recipe. My NA take on Greenspan's port jammers.
