Multiple choice! Chose any or all of these options!

The Kingston United Methodist Church monthly supper will be Saturday October 3rd. Seating times are 5 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. We will aim for 5:00 p.m. dinner serving. I suggest (if you plan on picking berries) to pick your berries before supper. I recommend leaving for church by 4:30, because dinner is served promptly at 5:00 pm. If you are driving directly to the supper, arrive no later than 4:45 pm.

Church Location: (Note: I am not a member of this church, but they sure can cook!)
    United Methodist Church
    121 W. First St
    Kingston, IL. 60145.

    Cost is $10 for adults

This month, the meat will be Pork Roast

    Dessert Exchange Location:
This will start at 6:15 pm

    UPberries
    30683 Lanan Rd.
    Kingston, IL 60145

Let me know who wants to come!

    Attending
    Razbry - banana pudding
    Cathy2 - Sugar Pie
    Irisarbor
    Pie Lady -Toasted coconut marshmallows
    mrsm - Chess Pie

I wanted to mention that if you have not been to a tiny little church supper in a tiny little town, this unique experience is for you! We are served family style in the church basement (it very nice) with lots of welcoming hospitality!

i think we should call this the church supper our 54th exchange, not the 53rd, and plan one between now and october 3rd. that's too long to go without a gathering. my last attempt didn't get enough takers: i'd be happy to try again. what about september 6th?? please respond here if you can make it. i'm happy to host as few as 5-6 people.... and if there's any interest i'll start another thread. thanks! joan

JustJoan thought I was responding to the 9/6 exchange but I'm a tentative yes for 10/3. Will this post be replaced by another one, or is this the official 10/3 post?

If the weather is appropriate for such things, I'll bring toasted coconut marshmallows.

Otherwise, your guess is as good as mine.

Well now that I'm not feeling so sad about missing the picnic, I can get excited about hosting this event! In addition to everything that has been posted, I will have lots of free pint canning jars, canning salt, old magazines (Cooks) and National Geographic. I might even have some garden veggies for you. :D

So now Ava and I will have something tangible to fight over: salt and canning jars!

I am totally looking forward to this. I will spend the earlier part of the day sanding walls for an exhibit in Grayslake. So this will be a welcome break.
