I know the October dessert exchange hasn't happened yet, but since we discussed this yesterday at the September exchange, I am putting up the date now.
I am once again planning to do this exchange as a tea party.
If you want to keep with the tea party theme, make something in small bites - cookies, bars, muffins, etc.
If you have a fun hat, wear that too.
I can take up to 12 people including Joel and myself.
Let me know if you can make it.

    Attending
    1 - Sue F
    2 - Joel F
    3 - pairs4life - scones
    4 - izzy2
    5 - justjoan
    6 - cathy2
    7 - iris arbor - shortbread
    8 - iris arbor +1
    9 - Kristen (friend of pairs4life)
    10 - Cookie Monster

    Hmmm,

I am in. While I enjoy all of the bits of tea service the food I can never get enough scones. I will make some.

I am going to have to pass on this. I have missed events lately as we are moving into our new home in mid November and have been busy getting my existing house ready for sale, and packing stuff up. I will host a dessert exchange in my new home sometime in early 2016. The good news is my new house will be a mile or so east of where I live now so it will be easy to find.

i recently mail ordered some steens cane syrup to play around with as i can't find it locally. i'm probably going to make a kentucky derby tart using the steens. i'm never using corn syrup again....i hope, for anything.

So I think with Ingrid not attending that means there are 2 spots.

I am sorry to tell you that I will not be able to attend. A family event was changed which conflicts with the dessert exchange and darn it I made a beautiful lemon olive oil cake for everyone......

Kris we had not started yet when you posted.

Sue or Joel will post pics soon.

    It was a great tea.

Sue and Joel, that Lapsang Souchong blend was called Baker Street right? Kristen and I can't get it off our minds.

Thanks to Kristen for encouraging me to think about the pairings for my British-style scones. I learned lemon curd is delicious and ridiculously easy to make. Thanks to S & J for making the clotted cream. I also brought French salted butter, and homemade preserves, both cherry as well as fig, bay, and honey.

    Thanks for a great day.

From Upton Tea, Baker Street Afternoon Blend. I think I've seen their stuff carried elsewhere including Amazon.

Hi! This is Kristen (Ava's friend-- Molly Anne is my dog!) doing my first-ever post on ANY forum. :) Thanks for including me at yesterday's tea. It was lovely to meet you all and the food was DIVINE. I am open to hosting a January exchange if no one else wants to claim it. I was thinking either Sunday the 17th or the 24th. I live in Hyde Park. Thoughts?

Edit. Ava may be traveling both the 17th and 24th and as she is my conduit to the group, it would be nice if she could make it. How about the 31st?
