    Dear Friends,

I am posting on behalf of mollyanne. She will host the first Dessert Exchange in 2016.

She resides in Hyde Park, near the POTUS' compound, but parking tends to be easy in my experience.

BTW: mollyanne's username is in honor of her sweet dog, Molly Anne. She also has a cat but it doesn't ever seem to be out and about. Molly Anne, with 4-legs, however is always a lovely hostess and is especially fond of providing kisses.

The text below was lifted directly from Pie Lady's post when she hosted, but I think it fits and mollyanne would approve.

"I will make a light supper* with some sort of vegetarian option, and beverages. Bring one dessert, no doubling required.

All levels of dessert experience are welcome, because often participants bring desserts made for the first time. We are the best audience for trying out something new. If it failed in your opinion, bring it anyway because we can learn from your experience and maybe it is not as bad as you think.

Bring containers to take your share home. It is a good idea to bring a couple, one for those needing refrigeration and one for those than don't. Or if you're like me (who hasn't changed since she was wee!) and want to keep everything in separate containers so they're not touching."

mollyanne can accommodate 16 folks including herself!

    1- mollyanne
2- pairs4life- Grapefruit and Rosemary Sorbet
    3- Cathy2- Mincemeat Fruit & Nut Bars
4- ONJ4EVER- Lemon Olive Oil Cake
    5- irisarbor- Coconut Cake
6- Ms. Ingie- Fig & Cream Cheese Bars
    7- justjoan- Pumpkin Cheesecake
    8- toria-- Chocolate Oatmeal Cookie
9- pairs4life's friend Ericka H- Chocolate Chip Layer cake
    10-suef-- Chocolate Orange Polenta Cake
    11- Skye- Churros
12- lauraS-- Polenta cake with Clementine Syrup AND Mutabbaq
    13- Cookie Monster-- Rugelach
14-kmmd - Red Velvet Cupcakes (1 bite) with black bottoms(oreo)
15-kmmd +1- Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes

    WAIT LIST

*Actually, mollyanne's going all in with "small bites/ heavy appetizers so no sit-down dinner".

I don't normally confirm to posts but since we don't know each other I am replying to you.

Look forward to meeting you Skye. And sometimes folks don't know until the last minute what they will make. It is not a big deal. Heck at tea in November, we had I think 3 different types of scones, so even if you are bringing say, a coconut cake, odds are it will be different from the one irisarbor is making.

Yes. Katya you and Missy are in.

    The wait list begins now.

FWIW I know Katya and met Missy. We were chatting at an event last month and I mentioned I participated in a dessert exchange and they both were like, "Shut the front door can we join!?"

I promised to send them the link but forgot to do so until yesterday.

Just to be clear on parking, are there any restrictions or neighborhood parking tags? I know Hyde Park can be tough for parking. Toria and I will call pool.

And I haven't made any since :) But I was glad it was a big hit. Still not sure what I'm making, but I'm thinking it will be something Middle Eastern inspired from Ottolenghi or Jerusalem.

Well. I thought I knew. I received my bushel of Florida citrus and wanted to do something with it, but now I have a commitment that morning so who knows. It could be pie, something frozen, or a cookie.
