Dear LTHForum,
[Please excuse me if this message is in the wrong space, or does not adhere to community standards.]
I am new to this site, although I've heard many wonderful things about this place. I'm writing to inquire about chefs and other culinary experts in the area who may be interested in developing and presenting public library programs on a particular dish, cuisine, cooking method, and much more. I work at a public library - Skokie Public Library - and we occasionally host local chefs and entrepreneurs and more to give demonstrations based on their work. We ideally look for individuals who enjoy engaging with the public; are willing to demonstrate their work without getting too technical, and willing to do so for beginners and experts alike. Programs are free and open to all members of the public, regardless of residency (and provided that space is available in the room for that particular learning opportunity). We provide a modest honorarium for the individual, as well as marketing efforts and, if the presentation is pleasing, a recommendation to other area libraries seeking individuals for such demonstrations. For more information, please message me here. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
Best regards,
Mimosa
