I'm moving next month to Uptown/Buena Park area. I'm familar with Emerald City under the Sheridan stop and another place whose name slips my mind on Sheridan just south of Buena.

    Any other suggestions?

There's a little coffee shop at 4715 N. Sheridan just south of Lawrence called Cafe Too. They've got some good coffee and good eats too. It's run by the same people who do the Inspiration Cafe so I think it's a pretty worthwhile place to support.

The name of the place on Sheridan south of Buena is Mocha Cafe. There's also Dollop at the NE corner of Clarendon & Gordon. Corona's is on Irving Park just east of Sheridan, on the south side of the street. If you like tea, there's Unique So Chique at Wilson & Magnolia, next to the Starbuck's.

Thanks. I'm moving to this neighborhood from East Lakeview where I have a whole world of choices from Argo Tea Cafe, Intellegensia, and a few others.

In this COOL area, I like Pause cafe the mostest.

It is just east of the Berwyn El stop.

There's also Urban Tea Lounge on Montrose -- Metropolis on Granville is a bit of a stretch, but worth it

I like all the places mentioned pretty well. Dollop (FWIW) serves Metropolis coffee, and, I believe, retails the beans at the same price as the shop itself. Very laid back place for taking you time. Didn't spend a lot of time there, but always enjoyed a visit.

Dollop is pretty much the only coffee shop I'd endorse in that area. Cafe Mocha is alright, but it's pretty small in terms of a good hang. I'm not a fan of the baristas at the cafe by the Sheridan el. I think they're pretty rude and their coffee isn't that great to be totally honest.
