:D Hi to everyone. Now that I have gotten my two older daughters off to overnight camp, I can let you know that America's Market is now carrying Coke from Holland and the amazing Dr. Pepper with real cane sugar (from Texas). I hope everyone is keeping cool in this heat. Take care, Dimples :D

As a follow-up, for those who love root beer, America's Market is having a root beer float night tonight (Thursday, Aug. 14.)

Here's the info from the e-mail notice they sent out. (

"America's Market Root Beer Float Night."
We look forward to seeing you, this Thursday August 14th between 7:00pm and 9:00pm.
We are located at 9 Huntington Lane in Wheeling, Illinois. We are one block east
of Buffalo Grove Road off of Dundee Road. We are located between I am Siam and
Venture Hobby. We will have samples of products and will also be flying in Graeter's Ice Cream (rated one of the top ice creams in the United States) from Cincinnati. Come join the fun.

This is easily the best Root Beer I've ever had. Made here in Louisburg, KS. Not sure how far out they distribute, but it's worth finding. I even really prefer the diet version.

They also have it at Sandwich Works on Touhy, east of Cicero, in Lincolnwood.

Feel free to read/add to my list here:

Has anyone seen this site on root beer reviews? http://rootbeerreviews.com/brews/brewmain.html

I think it's awesome BUT I totally disagree about IBC root beer. I love the stuff!

New to me, but I'll disagree with some of the rankings, too (although not IBC, pretty boring, bland root beer).

I think Natural Brew is a truly vile root beer, I think Goose Island is a B- root beer (too sweet/too much vanilla), and I think Sprecher is a B+ or A-. Most of the rest I've never had, or only had once or twice, so I can't say for sure.

I think Anthony's Root Beer Barrel is a much better review site, with a broader range of root beers and opinions:

I didn't try it, but Govnor's Public House, a brewpub in Lake in the Hills, brews its own root beer.
