Russian vodka-straight from the source recs

We will be in Russia this summer and I plan to fully explore brands of vodka I can not get here in Chicago. When we were there two years ago the liquor stores seemed to have hundreds of varieties and super reasonable prices. I am not a fan of flavored vodkas but I do like to mix with fruit juices such as cranberry, orange and tomato etc. Is there an elusive brand that is not imported that I should buy? I am a fan of vodkas with a bite as IMHO triple distilled lack the stamina to stand up to mixers . I do not want to spend more than $20 USD if I can help it. Any input would be most appreciated.
