What Am I Drinking…Tomorrow at Chicago Gourmet?

Tomorrow at the Grand Cru tasting at Chicago Gourmet, there are many wines I don’t recognize. I’d love to have the guidance of anyone who is at all familiar with the vino on offer. If you know and enjoy any of these wines (or if you’ve heard of them and think they might be interesting), please post. It is my solemn vow that I will do my very best to sample every wine recommended and report back with notes.

This is what I was thinking as I was reading that list!

I'd make sure I tried the following:

Laprhoaig 18 (or any of the other Scotch Whiskeys (last))
Drouhin Beaune Clos des Mouches (check out the flies on the label)
    Bouchard Enfant Jesus
    Antinori Tignanello
    Dr. Loosen Wehlener Sonnenuhr

There are also a number of offerings from California that I don't know much about but are highly regarded. Hundred Acre and Newton caught my eye. I have tried and enjoyed the Newton unfiltered chardonnay in previous vintages. And one can never try too many champagnes. Dom Ruinart rose, Dom Perignon, Krug, Laurent Perrier Grand Siecle and Henriot 1998 should be pretty tasty.

Sincerely appreciate the input. Currently, it looks like I may not be able to go, but if I do, I should be able to check out and report on all the selections mentioned. Again, thanks.

I wouldn't miss the Inniskillin "Pearl" Vidal Icewine, Niagara Peninsula 2008. I could drink Inniskillin like water, that is if it weren't $80/bottle.
    GOOD TIMES!
