Also how do you make a good quick Arnold Palmer which is not prepackaged in a bottle. I've used ice tea mix and lemonade mix and then added them together and added fresh lemon. Trying to get the proportions right. The best of course would be fresh brewed ice tea with home made lemonade from lemons but that is not always doable from time constraints.

    Please share your methods.

I make a big jar of sun tea and keep it in the fridge, topping up with just a little lemonade (I like it less half and half than others might) and fresh lemons. Put on sunglasses. Get in hammock. Done.

If you like Arnie Palmers, you should definitely try a John Daly/Drunken Arnold Palmer with sweet tea + vodka (or sweet tea vodka) + lemonade. I think it's replaced a Pimm's Cup as my new favorite summertime drink.

    Toria,

Usually in our household this is like brushing teeth. Tea gets brewed daily and citrusade( I like to use limes with regular lemons, or meyer lemons when I can get them) gets made daily as well. If citrus is squeezed ( we have an electric juicer) it's pretty fast.

I've never used a pre-made mix, but I think you could store a citrus simple syrup in your fridge and always add that to tea in a pinch.

Yes, I vote for having a supply of lemons and tea in the fridge (or easily made 4x strength in 3-5 mins and put over ice). Keep your tea sweetened as you like it, and just add lemon juice to taste :) A hand juicer is fast and cleans up very quickly.

I'm a little confused....I respect that you may not have time to make fresh all the time but then why not just go canned if you're going to use packets?

I personally think powdered is better than cans because 1. they are easier to store in my small kitchen 2. I can adjust the amount of sweetness. Canned usually is too sweet for me. I can also change the proportion of tea to lemonade. I'm not a big fan of canned lemonade.
