Romantic bar with live piano

Hello all,

My wife and I have had the pleasure of going to a couple of hotel bars in our travels that have been beautiful, romantic, and most of all had live piano music and excellent service. The two the come to mind are Bemelman's Bar in NYC in the Carlyle, and the bar in the George V in Paris. I've been to the bar in the Peninsula here, which has a similar atmosphere but no live music/piano.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

The InterContinental on Michigan used to have piano music in their lobby bar. At one time, Judy Roberts was the in-house piano player. It's been a few years since I've been there, so a confirmation phone call might be in order.

The Drake, of course.

Music in the Palm Court Thursday 7pm - 11pm, Friday - Saturday 9pm - 12:30am

Music in the Coq d'Or Friday - Saturday 9pm -1am

The Peninsula does indeed have live music in the lobby bar. Jeremy Kahn (from Highland Park) plays there sometimes. He also plays at the Drake, at Andy's (on Wednesdays), and at Katarina's and the Jazz Showcase, which are more romantic club settings than Andy's.

Chris McBride (from New York) will be playing at the Drake next week.

Thanks all for the information! Good to know on the Peninsula. I've been there twice and haven't seen any music in their bar (although I did in their restaurant, which I think is called Lobby). Any ideas when it plays?
