I'll be there, with another LTH'er (who will out himself if he sees fit, and my brother-in-law.

Yeah they're definitely in an inconspicuous envelope that looks like junk mail.

Glad you guys posted that. I asked the wife if any inconspicuous envelopes that looked like junk mail had come for me yesterday. "Just this one," she said, and handed me my envelope with the Dark Lord Day tickets.

    +1

A little bummed that they don't have a cool design on them again.

Lincoln Anderson, one of the guys at the GNR dinner tonight, said that ticket holders will be able to exchange their tickets for Dark Lord Golden Tickets, as a keepsake, if they hang onto their ticket stub upon admission. So you can still get your cool design.

One of the folks from Intelligentsia (almost called him a brewer, though I'm sure that wouldn't be too far off) posted this on his twitter:http://plixi.com/p/90644400

He says they'll be making small cappuccinos and selling them in these snifters at DLD.

So guys, how are we going to organize a meet up? This is my first dark lord day so I don't know exactly what it will be like. Assuming it will be similar to previous dark lord days (it's supposed to be) how early is too early to show up? How late does it go? Would it be overkill to bring a smoker or would it be better to bring a smaller grill for cooking... grills are allowed right?

Let's organize a meet up, any ideas?

No grills allowed this year: http://www.3floyds.com/2011/04/12/a-few ... klord-day/

This update... well, it isn't much of an update. 'Parking will be up to the attendees' Does that mean it's just going to be a free-for-all like with past years or will there be 'no parking' signs throughout the park? Will we see another parking map marking areas where it will be okay to park? I'll take that kind of information rather than a note about unpredictable weather, please. ;)

I've got B tickets, so I'll probably get there around 1 or so. Any other B ticketers want to meet up at the statue in front of the brewery:

I'm guessing the statue is outside the property? Just wondering in case i end up getting there a lot earlier, would we be allowed readmittance if we go out?

Some news came out today about bottles of Dark Lord variants being available for sale via raffle (as in, you might get the chance to buy a bottle) at Dark Lord Day. BeerNews has the full scoop here (including news on Zombie Dust), but here's the key information (IMO):
Three Floyds Sales Manager, Lincoln Anderson, confirmed that there will be a number of variations of Dark Lord released at this Saturday’s event but that not all of them will be available in bottles. For those that will be, like Bourbon Barrel and Brandy Barrel with Vanilla Beans, there will be a small number of each in bottles and a “lottery” will be held at the event for a chance to buy them. Anderson said that the system will be fair and completely random. As for the “666″ on the Metromix bottle pic, the number sounded high to him in terms of actual count.

He also didn’t have a bottle count or bottle limit number available for the original Dark Lord. Bottle limit and more details on the lottery will be revealed closer to the event (as in Friday/Saturday).

Other variations (either on tap or in limited bottles) include Brandy Dark Lord, Brandy Vanilla Dark Lord, Bourbon Chili Dark Lord, & Pappy Van Winkle Dark Lord. Having said that, their Brandy Barrel Alpha Klaus received some of the most negative reviews I have ever read (certainly with respect to a FFF beer) and DL runs pretty sweet already so I'm not sold on the idea of a brandy barrel-aged version. The chili version, though? Yes, please!

Allegedly they will be for sale at Dark Lord Day. Might want to call Intelligentsia to see if they have any leftover.
