I just saw the Mountain Dew at Woodman's in North Aurora this morning. They've had it for at least a week. Don't know about the Pepsi, I only noticed it because they had a large end display I had to maneuver around.

thanks, perhaps a trip to Woodmans is in order, I have pretty much given up pop, but would like to try this.

I have been looking @ Super Walmart, and have yet to see it.

I haven't noticed the prices, but I've seen it at the Target on Elston and at Strack & Van Til across the street.

I just saw both throwback Dew and Pepsi aplenty at my local Dominick's (on Clark & Howard), which I guess makes it more mainstream, but a whole lot less cool (but much closer to home). It was $4.99/ 12 pk there, so a trip to CVS might still be worthwhile (if the 3 x 12 packs for $10 sale is still on).

It sounds like these are popping up all over the place suddenly. I noticed whole displays of Heritage Pepsi products (Pepsi, Mountain Dew, and Dr. Pepper) at the Target in both Highland and St. John, Indiana over the last few days. I still haven't checked at any of my more local North Suburban Targets to see if they also have them, so I bought a half case of Dr. Pepper on the off chance that they haven't caught on yet.

Spotted just a few minutes ago at the Jewel on Lake St in River Forest...

    3 - 12 packs for $11.00

    Also available ...

    20 oz bottles @ 10 for $10.00

Appears to be in wide distribution.

Talking to the Pepsi guy stocking the shelves about Heritage Dr Pepper and he mentioned that in Illinois, Dr Pepper is distributed by 7up and in Indiana, Pepsi. We should be able to drive right over the border to get some.

The Costco at Clybourn & Division had both Pepsi & Mountain Dew Throwback 18-packs. Unfortunately, I don't remember the exact prices, but I want to say they were in the $5 range.

I just found out, to my surprise and delight, that the break room at work has throwback and heritage sodas in the vending machine. I wasn't willing to commit to a full case of Mountain Dew - it's not my favorite - but tried a 20 oz bottle. It was very, very good. The orange flavor was much more noticeable, and it seemed tarter than its HFCS counterpart. Tasty!

All I have to say about the health issue is that my gastric system is working properly (instantaneously) for the first time in a long time and the only change I've made is to heritage Dr. Pepper from the corn syrup variety. how about tossing the corn syrup in the trash?!

The Woodman's in Kenosha has 2 dollar off coupons for puchase of four 12 packs, making it four 12 packs for $10.

I took advantage of a parental offer of babysitting services on Saturday and stopped into the Target in Highland, IN hoping to stock up on more Heritage Dr. Pepper. Unfortunately I was horrified to discover that they are apparently no longer stocking the Heritage products.   After pressing the employees, I was offered some lame speculation that they were only sold as part of a short term promotion by the Pepsi people.

Meanwhile this pregnant lady is craving her Heritage Dr. Pepper like crazy. Anyone else spot it around town recently?

After disappearing from the shelves for a while a friend just notified me that the Throwback Pepsi and Mountain Dew was just seen at a Target store in Chicago.

    For a limited time only.

Chances are there is a wider distribution.

Spotted some Pepsi & Mountain Dew Throwback in the check-out coolers at Cabela's in Hammond, IN. It may have been my enormous thirst from walking around the endless miles of the store, but I thought that this iteration tasted even better than the last.

The real-sugar Dr. Pepper has returned as well. It's not called Heritage Dr. Pepper this time -- just Dr. Pepper. The label design is from the '70s, complete with the "I'm a Pepper" logo.

Taste-wise, this version is better than the last. It's not as overtly sweet, and the flavors seem more in line with what I remember from my youth.
