This weekend I had two Lemon Balms at the Journeyman Cafe in Fennville, MI. They were so delicious I asked for the recipe. This cocktail consists of Ketel One Vodka, muddled lemons and lemon balm and a dash of Cointreau. It is served on the rocks in an old fashioned glass or brandy snifter with a sugared rim.

One sip of this and I felt instantly relaxed. The fragrant lemon balm balances well with tart/sweet combo of lemon with the sugared rim. The Cointreau is really there to smooth out the vodka. This drink is now a summertime favorite.

    Hi,

If you are considering growing lemon balm, then do it in a container. This is a pesky plant that takes over a garden plot rather quickly.

Now back to your drink ...

In fact, if you want some lemon balm, I have plenty to give away....
