Cheap(er) boozing place near Old Town School

I am looking for a neighborhood pub that has some kind of pubfood that is cheaper than Grafton and Latitude 45. I like Hansa Pub, but that has no food.

I am looking for a place like Stocks and Blonds in the Loop. Good quality beer on tap for cheap and good food.

It's a few blocks out of the way of Old Town School, but Atlantic Bar has been written up here. I went once and pretty much concur with the opinions posted. It was midweek; nearly empty. Charming and friendly Irish waitress/bartender. Very decent burger and fries. Also chalkboard specials. All very reasonable. Good beer. Sports on the TV but quiet enough to talk, or think.

Atlantic here I come!!!

I am going to be taking the Blues Bass class starting Jan and I wanted a cheap place to go.

I'm not certain of the exact time, but I remember Atlantic's kitchen closeing kind of early for a bar kitchen, maybe 9:00 p.m. or 10:00 p.m.

Like I said I'm not certain though. It is great, and a great deal if you can get there in time after your class.

I dunno if it's the best, but one to try with that sort of vibe is the Daily Grill, i think it's called?
