For the record, I'm not a beer-guzzlin' fool. But when my longtime beer-making buddy from Milwaukee decides that there's a brew I must check out, I'm all ears.
O' so Brewery's "Night Train", a porter-style beer, has apparently been doing extremely well as of late at Wisconsin beer festivals but, unfortunately, can only be purchased in the State of Wisconsin.
If you enjoy the richness of a good oatmeal porter, Night Train has a lovely, creamy mouthfeel with a very pleasant weight to it. It has beautifully balanced elements of chocolate and coffee and doesn't viciously knock you over the head with some characteristic or another like so many other domestic micro-brews often will do . I would say that this porter clearly comes out of the great Old World beer-making traditions.

Definitely worth going out of your way for...if you're a lover of the porter-style.
