Faygo - Sold in the city?

I was a Michigander for the first 28 years of my life. I miss Faygo pop. I understand that it is available at Meijer, but I live in Andersonville, and the closest Meijer is still a bit too long a drive. I'm wondering if there are any places in the city that have Faygo. I live on the north side, but I work out by Midway, so any place out there would be an easy stop as well.

No, it's what Mailinator is for.

That is the most ridiculous Store Locator feature I've ever seen. Bob Smith (bobsmith@bobsmith.com) just filled it out completely, then got a message saying "Your request has been submitted." No store locations. Are you kidding me? I'm mean, are you kidding him?

Agreed. Had I any interest in drinking this stuff, the store locator would have killed it.

Hi- I was just in the Evanston Sam's Club today, and they had cans of faygo there. They had cases of 24 cans for $4.88 per case. All they had was a variety case. You got red pop, grape, orange and lemon lime, and there was no diet faygo. Hope this helps, Nancy

Blain's Farm and Fleet sells six different flavors of Faygo in their stores throughout Chicagoland and Wisconsin.

I am a Michigander and also an occasional Faygo fan. Red Pop can cure a hangover. I have found it at Strack and VanTil on Elston (this was a few Christmases ago), Vas Foremost on California and Milwaukee (also a long time ago), and that craptacular Jewel on Milwaukee which I have refused to set foot in for years. Usually I just depend on Michigan houseguests to bring me a couple cans.

This puts me in mind of another delicious beverage which I believe is not made at all anymore: New York Seltzer. Especially the root beer flavor.

EDIT: to say that I have seen people walking up and down my street (Humboldt Blvd) drinking Faygo. I wonder where they get it. Next time I will be sure to ask.

I'm pretty sure the point is that they'll email you the locations of nearby places to buy Faygo. Since you didn't use a real email address, you won't be getting it.

To the OP who lives in Andersonville, like I do: On Sheridan rd. from Foster to Lawrence there are a series of little ghetto groceries. All of them carry Faygo 2-liters and at a discount. The one across from Big Chicks in particular has a huge display. They have, cold, cans 2 for $1. And I think the 24oz bottles for less than $1. Your quest is over.

Those stores also sporadically carry Better Made chips, which I understand is also a Detroit/Mich thing. I think they have passed Jay's in quality and certainly in price. I love finding regional stuff in oddball places. I imagine it is sort of supplier surplus from those areas. Used to be able to find Cotton Club Less Sweet Ginger Ale, an Ohio favorite, around town once in a while.

You also might want to try the Dollar Tree. I have seen two liters of Faygo in several different locations.

You could always ask the good folks behind The Gathering. Surely they aren't trucking down enough Faygo to soak a crowd all the way from Michigan!

I've seen several different flavors at Eleven City Diner at Michigan and Wabash.

The bodega at Damen and Augusta has 18 flavors of Faygo.

I know that it isn't the city but Woodman's carries Faygo.
