I am pretty disappointed, as I had a top-to-bottom wonderful dinner there a couple weeks ago and didn't see this coming. Apparently it has been sold and I don't know what the new guy's plans are. I doubt it had to do with a lack of business because from what I gather they were still doing well...has to be a shock to many longtime regulars.

EDIT***THIS MAY HAVE BEEN SIMPLY AN OWNERSHIP CHANGE WITH NO DOORS CLOSING.

Uh-oh, ChicagoStyleDog is going to be devastated. I know how much he liked that place.

Unfortunately, I never made it over there. :(

Didn't the owners also own Salerno's in Prospect Heights/Mount Prospect?

Tammy76...it has changed owners, but from what I've gathered it's not a seamless transition...the doors have closed and the new guy will be opening a new place rather than carrying the Rossini's torch under new ownership. This isn't 100% though, wish I had concrete info. Hopefully I'm not butchering the true facts of the situation.

JeanneBean, you are correct...Frank Rossini & his son own Salerno's in Mt. Prospect along with Arnie Salerno. The whole history can be found here:

That's GREAT news...if someone can show me how to delete the post (or any mod can feel free to do so) I will take it down right away. I'll also get to the bottom of the apparently bad intel I received from a VERY close and reputable source...

We were there Monday for dinner. The place was packed and nothing had changed.
