Same here. I get way too easily distracted. I don't mind restaurants with TVs if I'm dining alone, but when I'm out with friends, it probably comes across like I'd rather watch TV than converse ... Shame on me. :/

That pizza indeed looks wonderful. And the red-tiled oven is gorgeous. But the goddamn televisions. Is there a place that isn't a hipster-hole or super-high dining in Chicago that doesn't have goddamn TVs blaring at all times?

FWIW, I didn't like the Tv's at Forno either. In fact, the decor wasn't really my thing either - but I thought the TV's seemed to go with the decor. For a place on the far north/west side - clean, modern, upscale - ish may appeal to the working class folks in the the neighborhood. Makes it feel fancy even though its in a strip mall. The TV's, I assume, will appeal to the crowd that can't stand missing their favorite game. I simply looked at the beautiful pizza while I was eating, so the TV's weren't distracting to me.

Totally agreed, TV's belong in Sports bars - places with wings and beer....
I love comfortable food, and comfortable restaurants.

I would love it they'd just be in sports bars, I don't go to them anyway.

incite, fropones, teresa and I had an amazing time last night at Gogi followed after dinner drinks at yeowoosai. Very good marketing on gogi's part for including a $10 yeowoosai coupon on the bill, smart thinking! I thought I'd share a picture of your worst nightmare.

Argh! I really hope all those TVs are at Yeeowoosai and not Gogi.
