The good, the bad...
First off, there is the caveat of my virgin order at Greek Feast being a carryout, which may or may not color my overall thinking.
Skirt steak was excellent quality but not even close in sheer size or Greek-meat-with-oregano-and-lemon taste to Cross-Rhodes, and it curiously was served with a spicy chimichurri sauce, thankfully on the side--so many better choices for accompaniment.
Avgolemono soup was fair but could have used a lot more lemon. I had been excited at seeing fasolakia (green beans in a traditional tomato sauce), similar to Psistaria's or Opa!'s rendition but this was a poor facsimile, with pulverized beans in almost no sauce. Disappointing, even with my green beans missing in the order.
And the Taverna chicken looked fine (wife had it last night, haven't gotten her review yet) but a small half-chicken, plus two sides--quite small containers of rice, potatoes, soup, beans or salad--cost $13.50, with the skirt steak topping the menu at $21.
Beautiful new buildout, pagers for orders coming up, plenty of seating, but you've still gotta deliver the goods. Food-wise I expected much more culinary dexterity, for a little less money.
